CX Analytics Engine & Maverick Recognition System: Master Documentation

1. System Philosophy & Objectives

The CX Analytics Engine is a 360-degree performance measurement ecosystem built to replace subjective bias with weighted, fractional scoring. It serves two primary analytical funnels to drive studio health, project matching, and career transparency:

2. Core Taxonomy & Work Typologies

All data points follow a rigorous hierarchy (Portfolio → Project → Work Item) categorized into three distinct execution tracks:

Dedicated Work (Type 1)

Long-term, high-touch client engagements with extended Turnaround Times (e.g., 2 months, 20 weeks, or more). Designers are allocated a fractional, committed capacity (up to 1.0) mapped to project demands. Surveys are distributed to all four stakeholders at the end of the work item.

Milestone Requests (Type 2)

Shorter turnaround tasks or critical project phases flagged by Design Leads as operationally vital. Similar to Dedicated Work, surveys are distributed to all four stakeholders immediately upon closing the item.

Monthly Reviews (Type 3)

A consolidated monthly assessment managed strictly by Design Leads. It functions as a retrospective safety net, ensuring that when designers handle unseen complexities across smaller ad-hoc tasks, their technical and behavioral mastery is captured, scored, and credited.

3. The 5-Pillar Evaluation Framework

Performance across all work types is isolated into five foundational dimensions: Availability, Complexity, Compliance, Communication, and Delivery.

Stakeholder Personas & Weighting Ratio

Every completed Type 1 and Type 2 work item is evaluated out of a raw 1–5 scale by four specific perspectives:

  1. Designer: Self-feedback reflecting on personal execution, technical limits, and project complexity.
  2. Design Lead: Internal oversight tracking strategy, quality control, and mediation.
  3. Internal POC: Development and client acquisition lens focusing on technical boundaries and feasibility.
  4. Client: External stakeholder evaluating business goals, responsiveness, and end-delivery.

Weighting Logic: Each pillar utilizes a customized stakeholder importance ratio configured in the backend ledger. Raw scores populate stakeholder-facing visuals, while the finalized database rollups process these through the persona-weighted operational formulas.

The central directory for tracking studio resources and live deployment states.

DB2: Work Tracker

The operational ledger logging all three work typologies.

DB3: Survey Ledger

The processing engine that holds the individual raw submission entries.

5. The Maverick Recognition System

A gamified, objective mastery scale designed to preserve historical credibility without punishing pipeline realities. It eliminates subjective grading by tying skill and tool recognition directly to quantitative project success and temporal recency.

Layer 1: Skill & Tool Badges

Badges are tied directly to specific capabilities (e.g., Interface Design, Figma). A designer becomes eligible for a badge nomination when their completed Work Item clears the strict quantitative Mastery Gate, requiring the Overall Score to be at least 22.0 and the Complexity Score to be at least 4.0.

Layer 2: Badge Tiers (Volume Scaling)

Tiers represent cumulative, lifelong capability. The tier scales based on the absolute count of times a manager has explicitly endorsed a specific skill or tool for a designer. Tiers never decrease.
